01 — Overview

Play anytime, anywhere

A redesign of the Nintendo Switch landing page built as a self-initiated exercise in product storytelling. The page leads with the console itself: 3D product renders sit on a plain white canvas so the hardware carries the page, with type and a single red accent doing the rest.

02 — Design Direction

Let the hardware do the talking

White canvas

Every section sits on plain white so the console renders read as objects on a shelf rather than pictures in boxes. No panels, no containers competing with the product.

One accent

Nintendo red is used sparingly — a rule beside a heading, a scroll cue, one full-bleed band for the buying section. It marks structure instead of decorating it.

Weight as hierarchy

Headings are set heavy and tight, paired with a small light label. The size gap does the work, so sections stay readable at a glance while scrolling.

03 — The Hero

A carousel, a search, and the console

The hero opens on the current featured title inside the console screen, with a carousel underneath so the artwork changes while the hardware stays put. Search sits directly under the wordmark, and two soft colour blocks frame the composition in Joy-Con blue and red.

04 — Play Modes

Three ways to play

The console’s core idea is that it changes shape. Each mode gets its own full-width band, alternating the render left and right so the eye moves down the page rather than settling.

TV mode

Play at Home

Docked to the television with the Joy-Con detached.

Tablet mode

Instant Multiplayer

Kickstand out, controllers shared, no extra setup.

Handheld mode

Total Portability

Joy-Con attached, the whole system in your hands.

05 — Choose a System

Which system suits you?

The comparison sits on a full-bleed red band so it reads as a decision point rather than more marketing. Three white cards, the same shape each time, so the specs can be scanned side by side.

06 — Navigation & Footer

Everything else, quietly

The footer carries the full store map — six columns of links across shop, support, parents and community — set small and in red so it stays available without competing with the product story above it.
